Mahaulpatha Farmhouse

Mahaulpatha, meaning grand spring, gets its name from Mahaulpatha village. The B division house, is a more recent addition to the farm established almost a century ago.

Today we continue to grow tea as it was done in the beginning, with a herd of cattle who do the weeding and manuring. They live and die of old age as none are slaughtered in respect to the Hindu temples that watch over us from the distant mountains.

You can walk with the cattle or learn to pluck tea. The lawn, still with its natural contours is good enough for a friendly game of cricket, tennis and badminton or if you prefer you can sit outside and enjoy a good book in a quiet corner.

We will be glad to assist with picnics, trekking up into the mountains, planning tours to nearby places of interest  and to organize outdoor BBQs and bonfire nights at your request.
